Beetles can come in many shapes, sizes and colors. They have an oval or round shape. Beetles have well-developed antennae and chewing mouthparts.  These beetles have shell life front wings that are known as a light ra. These front wings are going to be awfully hard in texture and appear more like a cell than actual Wings. The beetle will fold the front wings so that they are going to cover the back way. The wings of beetles are durable and waterproof which is going to protect them against damage and dehydration. Most adult beetles seem to have a line down their back with two front Wings meet. Despite having wings, beetles are poor flyers.

The carpet beetle may lay between 40-90 eggs which will hatch within 1-2 weeks. The carpet beetle will have four life cycles however the larvae are going to cause the most damage.  Carpet beetle larvae are carrot-shaped and between one-eighth to a quarter inch long. This destructive stage lasts from a few months to two years, during which they molt several times. These pests have a big appetite, and they’ll eat most organic materials, including dead insects, pet fur, and feathers. These pests are going to like areas that are dark and warm for example the inside of ductwork, along baseboards, or in hot linen closets.  Contact with a larva could cause irritation that may be confused for a bed bug bite or a flea bite. In the wild carpet beetles’ main function is to be consuming the height of deceased animals.
